Manga Drawing Lesson & Get Your Portrait

About this workshop
Ever wanted to learn how to draw manga in Japan?
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of manga drawing from a professional illustrator and try drawing a manga character yourself. You don’t need any previous drawing experience — the illustrator will show you simple techniques and guide you step by step.
At the beginning of the workshop, you can choose a character you would like to draw. Popular choices include characters from Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto, Sailor Moon, Hello Kitty, and Rilakkuma, but you are also welcome to make your own request.
The illustrator will teach you how to capture the character’s distinctive features, including basic techniques for drawing the face, eyes, expressions, and other details. You’ll then try drawing the character yourself with guidance from the illustrator. If time allows, you can also add color to your drawing.
While you practice drawing, the illustrator will also create a manga-style portrait of you. You’ll be able to take the finished portrait home as a unique souvenir of your time in Japan.
No artistic experience is necessary — just bring your curiosity and have fun drawing!
